IPR Policy

By contributing to the Direct Project, contributors agree to license their contribution under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License and to disclose all known Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Disclosure will follow the definitions and rules defined by the IETF, with the following modifications:

References to "IETF" will be interpreted as references to the Direct Project.
References to "RFCs" will be interpreted as references to specifications proposed as part of the Direct Project.

The term "Contribution" will refer to any submission to the Direct Project, including contributions to this wiki and to specifications delivered as part of the project, contributions directed to members of the Direct Project and intended for publication in this wiki or to specifications delivered as part of the project, and any oral, written or electronic contributions made in the context of working groups and implementation groups constituted for this project or directed to mailing lists or other communications mechanisms set up for the purposes of this project.

The disclosure process will be modified as follows:

Disclosures will be submitted as entries to this wiki, and linked to from the IPR Disclosures page. Disclosures will include all required information as defined in the IETF IPR policy and all required elements in the IETF IPR submission form.
