Attendance Tracker for Implementation Group meetings
In order to streamline attendance tracking for each workgroup and the Implementation Group, there is a new form at the bottom of each group's page that participants should use to "sign in" at the start of each call. If you are not at a computer during the call, the group lead will ask that you state your name and organization at the start of the call to be sure your attendance is recorded. Our Goals
The Implementation Group commits to:
- Active involvement and to deploy the resulting standards and specifications in real-world implementation
- Serve as the scope arbiter for first implementation
As such, the Implementation Group followed an aggressive timeline, drafting specifications and services within two months, implementing with working code and deploying implementations by early 2011. This timeline has been supported by continuous and active involvement of the members, including weekly teleconferences and face to face meetings. The work of the group is guided by certain design principles, including: adherence to HITSC principles, discussion of goals, evaluation based on concrete proposals, working code, open source and content licensing. The IG was bootstrapped with informal commitments from interested parties; see the statements of commitment here.

About Our Workgroups
Workgroups established under the Direct Project will meet as necessary to complete work (a minimum of every week is recommended) but will be scheduled through ONC. Members of the Workgroups are volunteers from the Implementation Group Membership Roster. Workgroups will work under a charter proposed by the full implementation group. Workgroups should provide reporting of deliverables back to the full implementation group using the implementation template found here. Deliverables will include formalized calls of consensus with sufficient background and lead time for the full group to make a decision.
